GTM engineering for B2B SaaS

Only the grain.
Never the chaff.

Farmers thresh and winnow to separate grain from chaff. We sift through your market the same way and leave you with only qualified opportunities.

(The Approach)

thresh/θrɛʃ/verb
To beat the grain loose.
winnow/ˈwɪnoʊ/verb
To let the wind carry off what’s left.

Many agencies rush through deliverables on your account to protect their margins. We take time to deeply understand your business and buyers.

What we do well.

  1. 01

    Signal-Driven Outbound

Campaigns triggered by real buying moments and written to each persona’s pains. Never a template, never a recycled playbook.

  2. 02

    Email Infrastructure

Domains, inboxes, authentication and warm-up set up properly in weeks one and two, then monitored so deliverability never quietly decays.

  3. 03

    Clay Implementation

Clay tables built around how your team sells, with data checked across several sources and synced both ways with your CRM. Documented, so your team can run it without us.

    RevOps & CRM

A clean CRM, with records deduped, enriched and correctly owned, so every report you pull is one you can trust. Then the workflows your team will feel: AEs alerted the moment a prospect replies with interest, leads routed to the right rep, parent and subsidiary accounts linked.

(Why our agency)

GTM changes every quarter. Keeping up is our job, so it isn’t yours.

So, what is GTM engineering?

It’s the work that makes sales, marketing and RevOps run as one system. We orchestrate the data, CRM, automations, signals and sending infrastructure behind your go-to-market, so your team spends its time selling, not fighting bad data or each other.

  • No templates. Plenty of experience.

We start from your business, how your team actually sells and the KPIs they’re measured on, then build the systems and messaging around them. When something has worked in a similar context, we’ll bring it to you and adapt it to fit.

  • Always current.

We test new data, AI, automation and sequencing tools so you don’t have to, and only bring in what earns its place in your stack.

  • Looked after, not just launched.

CRM fields change, APIs update and inbox providers move the goalposts. We monitor your workflows and deliverability, and fix what drifts before your team feels it.

(The Process)

Pipeline first. Then everything around it.

  1. Step 01Weeks 1–2

    Lay the foundations

Secondary domains, inboxes, SPF/DKIM/DMARC and warm-up, so every email we send later actually lands.

  2. Step 02Weeks 1–2

    Map your market

We size your whole TAM and gather enough accounts for your first month of campaigns, then build out the rest as we go.

  3. Step 03Weeks 1–3

    Score and launch

Intent and buying signals layered onto every account, so your first campaign reaches the most qualified ones by weeks 2–3.

  4. Step 04Weeks 3–4

    Measure and sharpen

We see which campaigns land, double down on what works and cut what doesn’t, with the data behind every change.

  5. Step 05Ongoing

    Tighten the system

Ongoing iterations, CRM cleaning, real-time rep alerts and a brief for every call we book: why they fit, the signals we tracked, what qualifies them. You walk in ready to close.

(Signals we watch)

Your buyers aren’t everyone’s buyers.

Most agencies track the same signals for every client. We build ours around your ICP: their interests, their KPIs, the work they’re actually responsible for. So every message lands at the right moment, for a reason that matters to them.

Uchenna, founder of Thresh & Winnow

(The founder)

The person on your first call is the person doing the work.

Uchenna has spent nearly a decade on the commercial side of B2B. For over four years, that has meant building outbound and RevOps systems, first at Volley, one of the first agencies built around personalised outbound, then at a Clay Studio partner. Before that, almost half a decade in oil and gas services: keeping engineering, quality control and maintenance working from one knowledge base for every bid, and representing the commercial team in a CRM rebuild. Uchenna knows how much a team’s performance depends on the systems behind it, and brings that to every client. Thresh & Winnow is the agency Uchenna always wanted to work with.

(Questions)

What teams usually ask first.

Anything else, ask us on the call.

  1. 01

Why work with a small agency like yours?

We deliberately keep our client list short. Every account gets our full attention, and the work never gets stretched thin to make room for the next logo.

  2. 02

How quickly do campaigns go live?

Inboxes warm while we map your market, so nothing waits on anything else. Your first campaign goes live in weeks two to three, and we build out from there.

  3. 03

We’ve tried outbound before and it didn’t work.

Usually the list or the timing was the problem, not the channel. We start from your ICP and the signals that mean someone is ready to buy, then write for that person.

  4. 04

Will cold email hurt our main domain?

Not the way we run it. We never send from your main domain. Campaigns go out from secondary domains we set up, authenticate and warm before anything is sent, and we watch deliverability every week.

  5. 05

How do you keep bad data out?

No data provider is perfect, so we never rely on just one. Every record is checked across several sources and every email is verified before it’s sent. If we can’t confirm a detail, we don’t use it to personalise a message.

  6. 06

Do we need to buy a stack of new tools?

We work inside your CRM and existing tools wherever we can, and only bring in what earns its place.

  7. 07

Is cold email compliant with GDPR?

It can be, and we build it in. For UK and EU prospects we rely on legitimate interest: we only contact people whose role makes the message relevant, say who we are in every email, and honour every opt-out across all campaigns. Rules differ by country, so we check each market before anyone there is contacted.
